Santa Cruz Grabke Melting Clocks Reissue Skateboard Deck

Artwork & History
Originally released in the late 1980s, the “Melting Clocks” graphic by artist Jim Phillips was designed for German pro skater Claus Grabke. Inspired by surrealism, the artwork features warped clocks melting over flames—symbolizing time slipping away during a high-energy skate session. This reissue faithfully reproduces the original artwork with spot-matte detailing and vivid colors over a full-dip stained veneer.

Construction & Concave
Constructed from 7-ply North American maple, each deck is pressed individually using epoxy resin. This method provides consistent shape, long-lasting pop, and solid structural integrity. The deck features Cruz Missile II concave—a tech-forward concave profile from the 1980s designed with a deep center pocket, aggressive side-to-side curvature, forward-set rocker, and a pronounced tail kick for secure foot control.
